Romanian numbers are regular once you know the first ten: 11 to 19 add -sprezece, the tens add -zeci, and you join them with și (and). Two things to watch: one and two have a feminine form (o, două), and from 20 upwards you put de before the noun: douăzeci de lei.

Romanian has five cases, but a noun really has only three forms to learn: one for subject and object (casa), one for 'of' and 'to' (casei), and one for calling someone (Ioane!). The case shows up mostly in the definite article at the end of the noun, and in the plural it is always -lor.
